After Care Advice

  • After Microsclerotherapy treatment, you will be supplied with a waterproof compression pad which should be kept in place for at least 2 weeks.
  • You should avoid hot baths and swimming for 48 hours
  • Avoid direct sunlight for two weeks
  • Regular light excercise is fine
  • Do not fly for at least two weeks after treatment
  • Ensure a follow up appointment is booked 2 weeks when having treatment


In rare cases of complications, please seek immediate medical attention:

  • Vein rupture (also compression and raise the leg immediately).
  • Inflamation within 5 inches of groin.
  • Sudden swelling of the legs
  • Formation of ulcers
  • Increased pain and burning


  • Do not wash or take a shower for at least 8 hours after Mesotherapy Do not take hot baths for 48 hours after treatment. After the 48-hour  period, for the first week baths are allowed but are limited to 15  minutes (which will assist with any bruising that may have occurred).
  • Avoid exercising for 48 hours after treatment. Exercise will cause  you to sweat and excrete the solution out the pores of the skin, which  will decrease effectiveness of the treatment.
  • Drink at least 64 ounces of water the day of treatment and continue this intake of water for up to one week.
  • Sun exposure must be avoided for 48 hours after the treatment and  until bruising subsides. If necessary, to go into the sun, use SPF 30 or  greater at all times.
  • Allergic reaction can occur in the form of small lumps the size of a  quarter. Should you notice redness and or small lumps at the injection  site, call your doctor immediately  to determine how to treat the area. Note: most reactions remain localised in the area of injection.
  • Massage with Arnica gel or cream three to four times daily to help with swelling and bruising.


  • Avoid exercise and sweating for 24 hours after your treatment. 
  • Do not apply any other products to your skin for 24 hours. 
  • Avoid makeup for 24 hours.
  • Avoid swimming, saunas and spa environments for 24 hours. 
  • No chemical peels  or skin treatments for 2 weeks. 
  • Avoid strong retinol or glycolic acid products for 5-7 days. 
  • Always use SPF 30+ daily.
  • Avoid electrolysis, waxing, bleaching, in the area for 24-48 hours.
  • Skin may feel dry and tight this is a normal reaction.


  • You may experience some mild tenderness, redness and swelling around the injection site. These effects will usually resolve within 48 hours but may last longer in some cases. 
  • You may experience some bruising around the injection site, this will resolve naturally but may take 1-2 weeks to resolve. 
  • If you experience any discomfort afterwards you can take a simple over the counter painkiller such as paracetamol. 
  • You must seek medical attention and contact your practitioner if you develop any signs or symptoms of skin infection around the injection site. Infection can present as hot, red shiny skin, there may be pus formation and you may have a fever or feel generally unwell. 
  • You must contact your practitioner as soon as possible if you experience any other unwanted side effects after having the injection. 
  • Seek medical attention if you feel unwell or experience any significant side effects following the injection. 
  • Seek emergency medical attention in the rare event that you experience any severe allergy signs or features of anaphylaxis after the injection. These may include rash, facial swelling and breathing difficulties.


  • You may experience some mild tenderness, redness and swelling around the injection site. These effects will usually resolve within 48 hours but may last longer in some cases.
  • You may experience some bruising around the injection site, this will resolve naturally but may take 1-2 weeks to resolve.
  • If you experience any discomfort afterwards you can take a simple over the counter painkiller such as paracetamol.

2 weeks post-treatment: 

  • No Cosmetic Injectable treatments

  • No waxing or Laser Hair Removal/IPL treatments on the face
 


1-week post-treatment:

  • No depilatory use on the face




Microdermabrasion treatments are extremely safe and effective. Any redness, temporary flaking, or mild discolouration will disappear after your treatment and can be covered with a light layer of mineral makeup. Avoid exfoliating the treatment area for at least 5 days after the treatment, don't pull or pick any loose skin.



There is no down time with LED light facial therapy so you can continue with daily activities. Avoid wearing make up for 24 hours. Use a product such as moisturiser or sunscreen with a good SPF. Avoid heat treatments for the next 24 hours.
